Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the App and Website as specified below. By continuing to use the App or Website, you accept the most current version of these Terms. You will be notified of material changes at least 15 days before they take effect.

Cookie is an AI-powered recipe management application that allows users to:

• Save recipes from URLs (websites, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.) via AI extraction
• Generate a complete AI recipe from a dish name and serving size
• Organize and manage personal recipe collections
• Create shopping lists from recipes

You must be at least 13 years of age (or 16 in the EU/EEA) to use the App. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that:

• You meet the applicable minimum age requirement
• You will provide accurate and complete registration information
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
• You will promptly notify us at support@cookie-ai.app of any unauthorized access to your account

4.1 Ownership: You retain full ownership of all recipes, content, and data you create or upload to the App ("User Content").

4.2 License to Cookie: By using the App, you grant Cookie App a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to store, process, display, and transmit your User Content solely to provide the service to you. This license ends when you delete your content or account.

4.3 Third-Party Content: You may not upload, import, or share content that infringes the intellectual property rights of third parties. If you extract a recipe from a third-party source, you are responsible for ensuring that such use complies with applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.

5.1 Free Tier: The basic version of Cookie is available free of charge with limited AI extractions.

5.2 Premium Subscription: Cookie Premium provides:

• Unlimited AI recipe extractions
• Nutritional information for all recipes
• Shopping list features

5.3 Pricing and Billing: Subscription prices are displayed in the App Store or Google Play at the time of purchase. Subscriptions are billed through Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) and are subject to their respective payment terms. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

5.4 Changes to Pricing: We reserve the right to modify subscription pricing. Any price changes will take effect upon the next billing cycle, and we will provide advance notice through the App or email.

All subscription purchases and refund requests are managed exclusively through the App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Google), subject to their respective refund policies. Cookie App does not process refunds directly.

The App uses artificial intelligence (via OpenRouter) to extract and process recipe content. While we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee that AI-extracted recipes are complete, accurate, or free from errors. You should always verify recipe information — especially regarding allergens, cooking temperatures, and ingredient quantities — before consumption. Cookie App is not responsible for any adverse outcomes resulting from the use of AI-extracted recipe content.

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
• Upload, submit, or share content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to scrape or extract data without our prior written consent
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or another user's account
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or any other harmful software
• Use the service to transmit spam, unsolicited communications, or misleading content
• Exploit the service in any way that could disable, overburden, or impair its functionality

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these provisions.

The Cookie App, including its name, logo, design, software, and all associated intellectual property, is owned by Cookie App (Furkan Gönel) and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our intellectual property without prior written permission.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, COOKIE APP AND FURKAN GÖNEL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Cookie App and Furkan Gönel from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your User Content; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your infringement of any rights of another party.

13.1 By You: You may delete your account at any time through the App settings or by contacting us at support@cookie-ai.app.

13.2 By Us: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the App immediately ceases.

13.3 Effect of Termination: Sections 4.1, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 14 of these Terms survive termination.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Turkey, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Istanbul, Turkey.

Yukarıdakilere bakılmaksızın, bu Koşullar ikamet ettiğiniz ülkede geçerli olan zorunlu tüketici koruma yasaları kapsamındaki hak ve taleplerinizi kullanmanızı engellemez.

Bu Koşulları istediğimiz zaman değiştirme hakkımız saklıdır. Değişiklikler yürürlüğe girmeden en az 15 gün önce Uygulama veya e-posta yoluyla önemli değişiklikler hakkında bilgilendirme yapacağız. Değişikliklerden sonra Uygulamayı kullanmaya devam etmeniz yeni Koşulları kabul ettiğiniz anlamına gelir.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining Terms will continue in full force and effect.
